Ready for your child to learn their letter sounds 2x faster through play?

It’s the first academic skill you will teach your preschool or kindergarten kiddo, so you want to start on the right foot.

I get it, I’m in the same position.

Does any of this strike a nerve…

  • You are so excited to start, but you don’t want the process to end in tears (for you or child).

  • “I want to do it myself!” is a common phrase in your household. Your child is smart and independent, but they don’t like making mistakes. They are fueled by confidence and independence.

  • You think prevention is the best medicine. You want to stop reading difficulties before they start.

… If so, then keep reading, because I’ve found the strategies for you.

I love teaching kids to read. In the classroom, through tutoring, and with my own kiddos.

But… I realized something huge:

If the foundations are strong,

they will actually enjoy reading, instead of seeing it as a chore.

And because reading is the foundation for all learning, a love of reading = a lifetime of success.

The problem is:

Most parents don’t know where to start.

Or they are starting in the wrong place and throwing spaghetti at the wall.

That’s exactly why I quit teaching littles to go all in on teaching parents how to make reading easy and achievable for their kids.

Once I saw that having a proven, simple, research-backed system for teaching kids to read made parents (and their kids) feel confident, and that confidence equated to incredible reading success, I was hooked.

Reading should be “easy as abc”, and Lit Letters + play = simple success

Tired of the hamster wheel of figuring it all out?

Let’s take one thing off your plate- reading

Feeling like your kiddo has no interest?

Fuel it with games.

Worried you about adding one more thing to your hectic life?

Games are two for one: connect with your child and teach them to read in less time. Aren’t they always asking for you to play with them anyway?

A faster letter strategy + games can help you reach your child and inspire a love of reading without the tears.

It’s a research-backed system. Let’s put some strategy into teaching your little one.

Get my step-by-step system

  • Assess your child for the key pre-reading skills that will give them automatic success when their learn their letter sounds.

  • Teach letter sounds up to 2x faster (with videos for teaching the letters and for blending them into words)

  • Put all the pieces together through play! Games like matching, bingo, tic tac toe, and board games will skyrocket their growth (and they won’t even notice they are learning)

No more waiting to see if they pick up on reading. No more reading to them and hoping it sticks.

What’s inside foundations?

Well honestly it’s 3 courses in one system.

Videos for your child. Training to help you implement the skills and games. And for a limited launch period, I'll coach your through step-by-step (more on that later). Goodness knows parents don't have all the time in the world to figure it all out on their own.

Play with Sounds mini course

4 steps to prepare your child to read

The success is in the preparation! Your child will learn to play with the sounds in words, by rhyming, blending, and segmenting them. These phonological awareness skills are crucial for reading. Without them, it’s like throwing your child into the deep end of reading without even teaching them how to float first. Being able to play with the sounds in words allows your child to learn letter sounds and then connect them together into words. Otherwise, when your child looks at a word they can say the letter sounds b-u-g, but they can’t combine them together into the word!

Letters and Blending

Built on the faster strategy for learning letters: Lit Letters

13 lessons to introduce letters and solidify connections broken down into 2 parts for easy viewing for your child. 10+ games for practicing letters and sounds.

This is the real meat of the course, and it’s built on Lit Letters, the embedded pictograph mnemonic strategy that went viral because it just makes sense! Your child’s brain needs to connect the letter to its sound, so I choose a picture that naturally fits into the shape of the letter. That way, even when we take the picture away your child can visualize it when they see the letter, and learn their letters up to 2x faster! Plus hands on activities to solidify the connection.

It's the games that really make the difference though, because even when your little doesn't want to learn from you, they will looooove playing with you.

Leadership read-alouds

Sounds aaaaamazing!

And I’ve got the research to back it up. But let’s talk it through, is the investment worth it?

The problem with most reading courses out there…

  • They stop at lame workbooks.

  • Or they will teach you how to teach your child, but they don’t give you anything to get started.

  • No video lessons, no games, no strategy to unlock reading 2x faster.

  • There's no support. No one to answer your questions, teach you the strategies, or encourage you along the way.

How much is reading worth to you?

In my dream life, I would be able to personally tutor your child, invest all my time and energy into their growth, and teach you the games to play with them so they can “keep up the good work!” But since I’m doing that virtually, teaching them (and you) at your own pace, I’m able to pull that price waaaay down from my typical $200 an hour tutoring price tag.

So you can make reading easy and enjoyable for your child, at a fraction of the cost.

It’s a total value of $697+ 6 months of group coaching, but right now you can get it for $279, only until the end of April!

(and yes, that price includes a one-on-one session and Foundations Facebook ™ group Q&As and trainings)

Frequently asked questions

What age is this geared towards?

Ideally, from ages 3 to 7. It was designed with pre-schoolers and kindergarteners in mind. The handwriting and drawing activities might not be ideal for toddlers but the majority of activities are friendly for all ages! Please keep in mind that the read alouds are real stories of historical leaders, so take that into account when watching them with your preschooler! I've used them all for my own preschoolers and first graders.

Are the lessons designed for kids or adults?

All of the videos are designed for your child. They are fun and interactive!

The guides, however, are for you the parent to equip you to teach your child and continue practicing the skills taught in the videos.

Is the group coaching access included in the price?

Yes, you'll be able to join the Foundation Facebook ™ group at no cost to you for 6 months. Live Q&As and training will be hosted there plus you can get your questions answered quickly by myself and by other parents. Let's build a community of families raising little readers and leaders!

I really get a one-on-one coaching session?

Yep! Most parents will use this coaching session to help them get started! I can help you assess your child and make a plan for how to start teaching phonological awareness skills. Others might save it for a rainy day when they are having difficulty with a certain skill or game! You will get an email to schedule yours!

Rhyming and Beginning Sounds

Set your child up for reading success by teaching them to play with words. The first section focuses on identifying beginning sounds in words to prepare your child to learn the letter sounds. It also features rhyming, the first stage in blending and segmenting the sounds in words. By practicing blending skills before learning letters, you are preparing your child to read words as soon as they learn their first two sounds.
